From 3rd to 5th of July we participated in the organization of the international conference \u2013 our PhD student Olha Norba was a member of the organizing team of JOE-Tagung 2025 in Dresden, or \u201c32. Conference of Young Professionals on Eastern Europe\u201d, organized annually by the German Society for East European Studies (Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Osteuropakunde). The three-day event welcomed more than 40 young scholars and scientists from institutes across Europe to TU Dresden to present their current research in 13 panels. Each presentation was followed by an expert commentary from an established scholar \u2013 our colleague Eva Palkovi\u010dov\u00e1 also prepared her expert opinion for the panel \u201cGender and Participation: Cultures in Transition\u201d. The conference organizing team also offered a rich framework program for young scholars with a focus on Eastern Europe \u2013 in addition to the panel discussion on \u201cPopulism and Propaganda. Communication Manipulation in Eastern Europe\u201d, moderated by our PhD student Olha Norba and Dr. Timm Sch\u00f6nfelder from Leibniz-Institut f\u00fcr Geschichte und Kultur des \u00f6stlichen Europa (GWZO)<\/span><\/span><\/span>, there was also a presentation of the activities of the partner institutions \u201cForum Mittel- und Osteuropa: Institutionen stellen sich vor\u201d, in which our institute was represented by the latest German-language as well as English-language publications.<\/p>\n
