Archiwum kobiet – Women’s Archive

In 2022–2023 Magdalena Bystrzak cooperated with the Women’s Archive research team from Institute of Literary Research of Polish Academy of Sciences and prepared Slovak bios and records published in the Polish-language database of manuscripts “Women’s Archive”. The Slovak women’s personal documents consisted of unpublished archival materials (diaries, autobiographies, personal notes) from the 19th and 20th centuries. Bystrzak used the collections of the Literary Archive of the Slovak National Library in Martin and focused on Slovak writers, translators, journalists, and editors of literary magazines. The manuscripts included personal documents of Zora Jesenská, Mária Rázusová-Martáková, Mária Holuby, Lea Mrázová, Krista Bendová, Terézia Vansová, Jozefína Marečková, Drahotína Kardošová-Križková, and Ľudmila Riznerová-Podjavorinská. Bystrzak presented the results of her research to the Women’s Archive team (September 2023) and summarized and showcased the results of her activities in a Polish-English audio-visual material.
